Muscat

Muscat is the capital and largest city of Oman. Muscat has a rich history, which is still visible in the old town today. A beautiful remain of the past is the Al Jalali fort, which was built by the Portuguese Empire to protect the city in the 16th Century. The capital is the home of the Sultan of Oman, whose palace can be admired in the old town. Situated between the Arabian Sea and the Hajar mountains, Muscat offers breathtaking mountain views and some of the most beautiful beaches in the region.
